“I love it!” -Bo, on multiple occasions
Bo is one of the protagonists in the Storybots franchise. She is a member of Answer Team 341-B.
Character description[]
"Bolina "Bo" Bumblefoot is an unrestrained bundle of emotions. She can dive deeply into three or four different emotional states within the span of a few seconds and then snap right out of them just as quickly. Bo brings unbridled enthusiasm to everything she does, especially when it comes to getting answers for kids She loves all things sparkly and her best friend is a rainbow unicorn."[1]
Appearance[]
Bo is a large purple StoryBot who is the tallest and widest of Team 341B. She has blue limbs, dark purple eyebrows, grey claws and pink wheels.
In her beta model alongside the model used in the Behavior songs, her wheels were blue instead of pink.
Personality[]
Bo is a person — or rather Storybot — with strong emotions. Her feelings can often be overwhelming; sometimes she’s super excited, and sometimes she is emotionally sad. One thing she loves to do with her friends in 341-B is to scoop them up in one giant hug and cuddle up together. She cares about her teammates so much — she’s always concerned for a friend’s wellbeing, and is always there if any of her friends are down in the dumps. Even when she felt unappreciated and sad during the Christmas special, she still sought out a way to get her friends to value her (thing is, her friends did value her — a major misunderstanding occurred during said special).
Her strong emotions not only show strong love and passion for everything, but also fright. Ever since her debut in the Ask the Storybots timeline up to Answer Time, she has always been afraid of heights. Despite this, her friends (mainly Beep, in the case of Ask the Storybots) were always next to her to stabilize her emotions.
She also has a knack for fantasy and art — she adores creativity. She is very artistic, as shown in the Christmas special as well as a few segments in Super Songs. She uses this creative liberty to also enjoy the things she loves, like unicorns, rainbows and anything else you can imagine. Of course, she prefers to have a peaceful and positive imaginative world, opposed to the chaotic yet fun story twists the kids had cooked up in the middle of her story during her self-centered series, Super Silly Stories with Bo.
Being someone who adores adorable things as well as her friends, combined with the common fear of heights and her extreme emotions, Bo is a character made to be extremely relatable for the young audience. Her interactions with the children in her own series also makes her ties with the target audience of this franchise tighter than ever.
